Once again the Pittsburgh Penguins will be taking the game outdoors! This time against the cross state rival, the Philadelphia Flyers, on February 25, 2017 at 8 pm est. The Penguins originally announced the game would be held at Heinz Field on the 18th but now it got pushed back a week so the game could be broadcasted in primetime on NBC in the US and SportsNet in Canada. This will be the second outdoor game both the Penguins and Heinz Field will host. The first game being the Winter Classic in 2011 against the Capitals and now in 2017 as part of the Coors Light Stadium Series. The team has also played two other games as the visitors, one in Buffalo, at the first Winter Classic in 2008 and the other in Chicago in 2014 as part of that year’s stadium series.
