In recent news a recruiting scandal has been the headline in the past few days as the University of Louisville allegedly used strippers in order to gain new recruits. These alleged events occurred during 2010-2014 were Louisville had the top three recruiting class within those years. NCAA is conducting an investigation and is welcoming any information from anyone. So far there has been five former players or recruits that have come forward. The identity of these individuals will remain concealed, as they do not want to be publicized. These former players or recruits have stated that on their recruiting trip and while playing for the University assistant coach Andre McGee will host these parties. Andre McGee does not work for the University of Louisville anymore, as he is the assistant coach of the University of Missouri. He is currently on administrative leave as the investigation is being conducted. In these parties there will be girls who would strip for the players and some even go far as having sexual relations with the players and/or recruits for money. To make matters worse these events took place within school grounds in the Billy Minardi Hall. McGee had an accomplished that supplied the girls for every party. This accomplish is Katrina Powell, she even wrote a book that confirms these allegations. Her book is called “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen.” Several of the dancers have come forward and have discussed their involvement. Three of these dancers are Katrina Powell daughters who shared their encounters. Some of these encounters name several professional basketball players who are currently in the NBA. It will be interesting to see this story unfold in the upcoming weeks.
